If you have respiratory problems and your community sprays, you are advised to stay indoors during those hours.
Durham County uses a larvicide brick that kills mosquito eggs. In Wake County, officials say their goal is to educate the public. The health department will make a house call and tell you what to remove from your yard to avoid mosquito breeding.
