JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — The Johnston County Utility Department has lifted a boil water notice for the Meadow community.
All water customers from Surles Road (SR 1104) to the Meadow community were asked to boil water before drinking or consuming due to a water line break that caused a loss of system pressure.
The utility department said the measure was precautionary because of the potential for the water system to become contaminated due to the pressure loss.
