Cumberland County Man Gets 32 Years In Shooting

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man who pleaded guilty to killing a Fayetteville store owner will spend the next three decades behind bars.

A judge sentenced Milton Jenkins to 32 years in prison.

Jenkins and two other men killed Danny Bayless during an attempted robbery at Willis Grocery. Bayless owned the bait and tackle shop adjacent to the grocery store.

Two other men are also serving time for the murder.
