RALEIGH, N.C. — A faulty transformer that led to a spill at Raleigh's sewage plant has been repaired.
More than 1 million gallons of mostly treated wastewater spilled into the Neuse River last week.
The spillage happened during a power outage caused by a blown transformer. It took plant employees 45 minutes to restore power and stop wastewater from flowing into the river.
City officials say the problem was corrected right away.
