ROXBORO, N.C. — While a state trooper sits in jail charged with trying to kill his wife, his acquaintance who is accused in that same case is now free.
Linda Lee did not speak to reporters as she left the Person County jail shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday. She got out after a judge reduced her bond to $100,000.
She is charged with last month's attempted murder of Daneille Regan.
The judge would not reduce Trooper Bobby Regan's $1 million bond. He is also charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
