WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities in Virginia have captured a Wake County inmate who escaped in June.
The Chase City Police Department received a tip that
McKinley Jones
had been living a local hotel. Authorities captured Jones and he is currently in the Mecklenburg County, Va., Jail.
Jones, along with
Tarvis Weldon
, escaped on June 9 from the Wake Correctional Center. Weldon was recaptured a short time later.
Jones will be charged and brought back to North Carolina next week.
