DAVIDSON, N.C. — UpSNAP, a provider of mobile search and streaming mobile entertainment, is expanding its product offerings with search, information and entertainment selections from more than 600 sources.
UpSNAP provides the services at no charge via text messaging. It receives fees from content providers when consumers place calls for services, information, content or entertainment.
Wireless users may be charged texting fees by their carrier providers.
"Mobile search is not about putting browser technology on a cell phone. UpSNAP Chief Executive Officer Tony Philipp said. "It's about allowing the consumer to search, access and enjoy a rich variety of mobile content and services in a snap. This new application makes finding and enjoying mobile content very easy for everyone."
