Southeast Venture Conference Is Accepting Applications To Make Presentations

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — The

Southeast Venture Conference

is now accepting applications from companies that want to make presentations at the event.

The conference is set for Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 2007, at the Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary. It is being put on by TechJournal South.

Some 25 companies will be selected to make presentations. Startups in business services, consumer products, financial services, energy, software, communications, medical devices, information technology, life sciences, nanotech, Internet and defense sectors are eligible to participate. Companies must also be based in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi. North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or Washington, D.C.

A committee of investors and venture capitalists will screen applying companies.
