The Council selected the candidates -- Carol Aupperle, James Dixon, Dick Domann, Vickie Maxwell and Erv Portman -- based on a number of criteria, which included that the candidate be familiar with current community issues, have experience with the local government. The five Candidates also could not have previously run for and lost a Council election or be tied to any special interest groups.
Council members are expected to meet and interview each candidate within the next two weeks. Afterward, the Council will meet in a work session to determine Joyce's replacement. A date for that meeting, however, has not been set.
