— Police are investigating three separate fatal accidents overnight in Fayetteville.

Authorities said a driver in a pickup truck hit Charles LeCompte on Robeson Street near the intersection with Village Drive around midnight Friday. Shortly afterward, police were called to another fatal collision along Person Street near the Cape Fear River. Witnesses say the unidentified victim was walking in the road. No charges are expected.

Earlier in the evening, another pedestrian was killed along Skibo Road near Cliffdale Road. Joseph Krick of Fayetteville died in that accident.
