HENDERSON, N.C. — Traffic is flowing again on southbound Interstate 85 near the U.S. 1 bypass in Vance County after crews removed an overturned tractor-trailer.

The Highway Patrol said at around 4 a.m. Friday, the driver of the tractor-trailer fell asleep. His vehicle swerved to the left and hit a wire guardrail, causing it to overturn.
Traffic was backed up for miles as crews worked to clear the scene.
Troopers said the driver suffered cuts and a broken arm. He was charged with failure to reduce speed.
