Raleigh police arrested a teenager on Wednesday in connection to the death of a 13-year-old girl earlier in the week. According to the Raleigh Police Department, Mykia Daniel, an eighth-grader at Ligon Middle School, was shot and killed on Monday in a north Raleigh Apartment. Police said the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released at the appropriate time.

<b>CARY, N.C.</b> — Investigators in Cary determined lightning sparked a fire that damaged a home Monday night.

The fire occurred at around 11 p.m. at a home on Benedetti Court.

Authorities said the flames damaged the attic of the home.

Four people inside the home made it out safely.
