RALEIGH, N.C. — Investigators are following a new lead in a multimillion-dollar drug heist.
Authorities found a second rig used to carry up to $22 million worth of prescription and non-prescription drugs that were reported stolen from the Longistics Company two weeks ago.
Raleigh police said the tractor-trailer was abandoned in South Carolina without the drugs.
The thieves ditched the first tractor-trailer at a truck stop off Interstate 40 near Jones Sausage Road.
