CARY, N.C. — Cary leaders used new message signs to get the word out about the town's recent
water problems
, but some people do not appear to like the signs.
Vandals recently spray-painted the box near the message sign on Harrison Avenue, writing the word "violation" on it.
Cary town policy calls for violation stickers on signs that break the rules.
Some residents have complained that the signs clutter the view. A protest is planned outside Town Hall later in the week.
