Cingular Adds 17 Cell Sites In Raleigh, Eastern N.C.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Cingular Wireless is continuing to expand and upgrade its network coverage in North Carolina, recently adding 17 cell sites in Raleigh and the eastern part of the state.
Cingular plans to spend more than $385 million and add more than 300 cell sites across the Carolinas before the end of the year.
Coverage has been added or enhanced near Smithfield, Butner, Goldsboro, Clayton, Wilmington, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, Fayetteville, Roanoke Rapids, Greenville and Kinston.
