MOORE COUNTY, N.C. — Autopsy results have revealed new details about the death of an 80-year-old Moore County woman.
Investigators said Johnny Maness killed Ruthie Morgan on her farm in January. They also believe Morgan was raped.
The autopsy says Morgan died from multiple stab wounds and that she was found dead in the woods on her property with her hands bound.
Maness was captured in Texas on Jan. 31. He could get the death penalty if convicted of Morgan's murder.
