RALEIGH, N.C. — A former seminary student accused of taking indecent liberties with young boys as young as 13 years old was indicted on Monday.
A Wake County grand jury handed up 10 sex-related charges, including statutory sex offense, indecent liberties and first-degree sex exploitation against Doug Goodrich.
Goodrich was arrested in June after police caught him with a boy in a local park. Last month, seven other boys came forward claiming Goodrich molested them.
A student at Southeastern Baptist Seminary, Goodrich was suspended pending the outcome of the court cases. He also worked as a volunteer at Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh, where at least one of the alleged victims attended.
