Cumberland Officials Change Focus Of Missing Persons Cases

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Four missing persons cases In Cumberland County are now murder investigations.

The Cumberland County Sheriff made the announcement Thursday. The most recent cases include Kent Jacobs, who disappeared in March 2002 and Daryl Avery who vanished in May.

Investigators said evidence in each case made them change their focus.
