Fifteen N.C. Companies To Present at NCTA's Defense, Security Conference

RALEIGH, N.C. — Fifteen companies from around North Carolina will make presentations to a variety of government agencies at the

North Carolina Technology Association

's Partnership Conference.

The event is set for Friday at the Charlotte Research Institute. The Institute is located on the campus of UNC Charlotte.

NCTA is matching the companies with defense, homeland security, FBI and intelligence agencies in an attempt to raise the profile of North Carolina's military and security oriented companies.

"NCTA has organized this unique event to showcase the capabilities of our member companies," said Joan Myers, president and chief executive officer of NCTA. "North Carolina is home to over 5,000 technology companies, many of which offer groundbreaking solutions that are essential to improving our nation's defense and security needs. We are aggressively showcasing these NCTA member companies to decision-makers in all levels of the Federal government."

Scheduled to present are: Mariner Container Corp, AVL Technologies, Balistic Protection Technologies, Calyptix Security, UpSnap, Stealth Laboratories, Inc., NuTech, Soymeds, Powers International, LBA Group (satellite/RF Technology), Odell Intl, General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Carolina Unmanned Vehicles, SIGCOM and Rapid Access Tactical Technology.

The conference is by invitation only.
