Boyfriend Sentenced For Girlfriend's Slaying At Raleigh Credit Union

RALEIGH, N.C. — One of the twin brothers charged in connection with a slaying outside of a Raleigh credit union has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Larry Carter, 28, pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend Shaudria Barfield.

Barfield was found dead in her car two years ago. The couple dated for about two years.

Carter's twin brother, Lamont, was also charged with first-degree murder. His trial date has not been set.
