Recycling Changes Put Raleigh Crews Behind Schedule

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — The city of Raleigh said the recent addition of materials to residents' recycling list is putting crews behind.

Officials said people are putting out so much plastic that it's causing that section of the recycling trucks to fill up faster than before.

In some cases, workers have left neighborhoods without finishing the job, because they ran out of room.

The city is now reconfiguring its trucks to make more room for plastic materials.
