RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police said Wednesday they have no suspects in connection with an early-morning shooting that injured a man.

According to police, the shooting occurred shortly after 1 a.m. at the Trees & Leaves apartment complex off of Gorman Street.

The victim, Kenneth Roberts, was at the residence with some friends when he went to answer a knock at the door. At that point, police said, the assailant fired one shot through the door and hit Roberts in the stomach.

Roberts, who was in stable condition when emergency workers arrived to the scene, was taken to a local hospital. His condition, however, was not immediately known.
