DURHAM, N.C. — Inconclusive DNA results have forced police to resubmit some evidence for further testing in the slayings of four young Durham men.
Authorities said Lennis Harris Jr., Juan Coleman, Jonathon Skinner and Jamal Holloway were shot execution-style in an Alpine Road townhome last November. Police believe the slayings were drug-related.
On Thursday, officers went door to door at a public housing complex on Cheek Road looking for information. They said the victims frequented that area and a car believed to have been used in the killings was found there.
Investigators have also identified one of the weapons used in the crime. A 9 mm handgun was found inside the townhome.
