DURHAM, N.C. — A judge could make a critical decision Friday in the Duke lacrosse rape case.
Judge Ken Titus is expected to decide if Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong should be given personal information about lacrosse players not charged in the case.
Nifong said he needs the information because all of the players could be possible witnesses. Defense attorneys said it is an invasion of the players' privacy and some argue it could compromise their safety.
Three players -- Collin Finnerty, David Evans and Reade Seligmann -- are charged with rape and kidnapping in connection with an off-campus party involving an exotic dancer in March.
