HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A tractor-trailer driver was killed early Tuesday in a single-vehicle wreck in Harnett County.
The Highway Patrol said the wreck happened around 2 a.m. on Elliot Bridge Road near Shady Grove Road. The driver of the truck, 27-year-old Jeremy Ray Smith, of Godwin, was killed.
There is no word on what caused the wreck.
The truck was carrying a shipment of milk which spilled onto the road and was later cleared.
