WILMINGTON, N.C. — Life science firm
PPD
drove up its net revenues by 26 percent to $245 million in the second quarter over the same time period in 2005, the company said Monday.
Earnings climed to 31 cents per share, or $36 million, from 18 cents a year ago. Earnings reflected stock option expenses of $4.9 million, PPD said.
Shares in PPD (Nasdaq: PPDI) closed Monday at $35.96, down 37 cents
