Commission Recommends Judge Be Censured For Conduct

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — The judicial standards commission is recommending that Superior Court Judge Evelyn Hill be censured for her recent conduct.

The commission found Hill violated judicial ethics after she allegedly insulted a lawyer and made an inappropriate gesture at a Franklin County deputy.

Hill will have 10 days to file a response to the findings, then briefs will be filed by both sides. After that, oral arguments will be scheduled before the state Supreme Court.
