FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities in Fayetteville say a 67-year-old has been scammed out of a ton of money. Now, they are asking for your help in identifying the suspects.
Police say two women told an elderly woman they found a bank bag with $70,000 in it. They told her they would split the money with her if she put up some good faith money.
The woman gave them $27,000 and the two women took off with the cash.
