Dozens Of Layoffs Reported At SAS

CARY, N.C. — Dozens of people who work at
will be getting something that's not often handed out at the Cary company -- pink slips.
SAS is eliminating jobs in the marketing department, thanks to lower-priced competition.
Seventy-two sales positions were cut at the software company.
SAS has more than 10,000 employees worldwide. About 4,200 work in Cary.
