KENLY, N.C. — The water is flowing freely again in Kenly.
Construction crews upgradign parking lotaccidentally ruptured a 16-inch water line around 5 p.m. Wednesday, drying out taps for 1,500 customers.
Crews worked for more than six hours to patch the pipe. The water was back on by midnight.
Not even travelers stopping to use the restroom or grab a bite to eat got to have any water. No restaurants or restrooms had water.
