CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. — The Americas' Sail tall ships took to the sea in Carteret County on Monday.
The Class B tall ships raced off the coast of Atlantic Beach to a beach full of people watching.
Spectators from all over the country have come to see the tall ships, which will be on the coast until Tuesday.
Because the ships racing were different sizes, there's a formula for determining the winner.
Serenity took the title. The Jeanie B. came in second place and the A.J. Meerwald third.
