Cumberland Authorities Investigate Attempted Abduction Of Teen

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Investigators in Cumberland County need your help to find a man who allegedly tried to get a 14-year-old girl to enter his vehicle.

Authorities said the girl was walking along Legion Road late Thursday night when she was approached by the man. When the girl refused to get in the car with him, he began threatening her. She was able to flee on foot and call for help.

The man is described as a black male between the ages of 20 and 25 years. He is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs about 215 pounds.

According to investigators, the man was driving a 2001 or 2002 white, four-door Chevy Blazer with factory rims, clear windows, dark interior with tan coloring, black or gray faded trim below the door area, which extend the length of the vehicle.

The man was last seen wearing a white baseball cap with an "NYC" inscription on the front. He was also wearing a black T-shirt. He had a deep-pitched voice.
