FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Michelle Theer made headlines for her part in a fatal love triangle. Now, people can read about it at length.
A true crime book, "The Officer's Wife," about the case, was recently released. It was written by Michael Fleeman, who works for People Magazine.
Fleeman said the book outlines how Theer conspired with her boyfriend to kill her husband, Air Force Capt. Marty Theer. Prosecutors said the couple wanted to collect insurance money and start a new life together.
Fleeman said love, more than money, was the motive. Both Theer and her boyfriend are serving life behind bars.
