FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A standoff in Cumberland County has ended with a suspect taken into custody.
Cumberland County sheriff's deputies said Kennard Meshawn Fisher, 29, was holed up inside a mobile home in the Taylor's Creek Mobile Home Park off Highway 301.
Investigators said Fisher was hiding out at the residence on Spearfish Drive and was armed and dangerous. Authorities said Fisher was inside the residence with family members and surrendered peacefully to deputies.
Fisher was being sought by Fayetteville police on various warrants. Charges include maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for distribution of controlled substances, robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree kidnapping, conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Fisher is being held in the Cumberland County Jail.
