DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police arrived Monday night to a hectic scene in the parking lot of a Food Lion.
Several men pulled up to the store around 9:30 p.m. looking for someone to help a shooting victim inside their car.
Investigators believe the shooting happened a few blocks away on Barton Street, but they do not know what prompted it.
The victim, who is in his early thirties, was taken to Duke Medical Center. There is no word on his condition.
