ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Rocky Mount police are trying to solve the mystery of a body that turned up in a river over the weekend.
Authorities said a father and son made the discovery while throwing rocks into the Tar River at Tom Stith Park.
Investigators said it appears to be a partially decomposed man.
The identity of the man is not yet known. Authorities also do not know the cause of death.
