Window Manufacturer To Add 50 Jobs In Statesville

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — BSI-Balance Systems, a manufacturer of window balance systems, is expanding its operations in Statesville and will create 50 new jobs, according to Governor Mike Easley.

Easley said Wednesday that BSI-Balance Systems would invest $1.2 million in the expansion over the next three years.

The company will receive a $50,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund as an incentive for the expansion. The One North Carolina Fund requires a local government and community match and is intended for creation of new jobs. Also participating in the expansion plan were the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Iredell County and the city of Statesville.

BSI-Balance Systems already employs 235 people at two plants in Statesville. Once the expansion is completed, all operations will be consolidated at one site, the company said.
