Veteran Bank of America Exec To Lead Small Business Unit

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Increasing its emphasis on small businesses, Bank of America has named Mark Hogan, a veteran company executive, to the new position of president for Small Business Banking.

Hogan had served as Northeast Division executive, overseeing 1,500 Bank of America branches in the northeastern U.S. He has been with the bank since 1986.

Bank of America recently introduced several new services geared toward small businesses. It has more than 4.9 million small business customers.

Hogan will direct small business products and distribution as well as the merchant services sales force and small business specialists.
