Former Prosecutor's Campaign Manager Faces Domestic Violence Charges

DURHAM, N.C. — Freda Black's campaign manager is due in court Wednesday.

Darrel Luster is set to appear on domestic violence charges. He is accused of holding a knife to his wife's throat, threatening to kill her and breaking her telephone when she dialed 911.

Luster is also the lead singer for a gospel group.

Black, a former assistant district attorney in Durham, lost her bid for district attorney.
