Durham Police Search For Carjacking Suspect

— Police in Durham are hoping someone has information that will lead them to a suspect in a carjacking Friday night.

A 6-month-old boy was in the car that was stolen outside a business on Holloway Street. The baby's father located the child and stolen vehicle a short time later at Rochelle Manor Apartments at 2905 Rochelle Street The baby was unharmed.

The carjacking was reported shortly after 11 p.m. at Latin American Foods. The child's father went inside the store and left the baby inside a 1988 Oldsmobile Regency, which had the keys in the ignition and was running.

When the father left the store, the car was gone.

Durham police do not have a description of the carjacker.
