DURHAM, N.C. — Several Durham streets were closed Wednesday evening as crews worked to contain a chemical spill.
Investigators said a small amount of flammable liquid leaked from a train car around 7 p.m. near the intersection of Angier Avenue and Ellis Road. The area is mainly industrial, and no evacuations were needed.
Hazmat crews had everything cleaned within a few hours. No one was hurt.
