Embarq Offers Broadband Customers Two Free Services

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — Embarq

is rolling out two services to its broadband Internet customers free of charge - network storage capacity and on-demand video.

Embarq, the local telephone service company formerly known as Sprint, is packing the services with its digital subscriber line (DSL) package. The service is $24.95 per month.

The Media Safe offering includes 25 gigabytes of storage. Additional amounts up to 1,000 gigabytes, or 1 terabyte, are available.

The Video Clicks package provides access to a variety of music videos, news, weather, sports, and other entertainment.

Embarq is working with Streamload to offer the storage and Gotuit for the video
