RALEIGH, N.C. — The
Wake County Public School System
on Monday announced makeup days for seven schools closed last Friday as a result of a chemical fire at a hazardous-waste disposal facility.
Baucom Elementary, Apex Elementary, Olive Chapel Elementary, Apex Middle and Apex High schools will hold their makeup day on Wednesday, Nov. 22.
Turner Creek Elementary and Lufkin Road Middle schools, as well as year-round schools, will hold their makeup day on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Green Hope High School, which closed Friday morning to serve as a shelter for Apex residents forced from their homes, will not have to make up the school day.
The school system will also notify parents.
