Second 911 Outage Reported In Eastern N.C.

Posted Updated

LOUISBURG, N.C. — Another 911 outage was reported in several eastern counties in North Carolina.

The emergency line went down in Franklin County and several other areas. Officials said the outage started just after 1 a.m. Thursday. It lasted about 15 minutes.

There is no word if the outage was caused by the same problem that affected 20 911 call centers for several hours Sunday night.

Embarq blames a small faulty part on that larger outage.
