Fake Lipitor Pills Result In Recall

RALEIGH, N.C. — According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, pills in about 100,000 bottles of the drug Lipitor are fakes. Your pharmacist may not know it yet.
Many local pharmacists contacted by WRAL on Saturday had not yet heard about the recall. The recall affects three lots of the 90-count bottles of the cholesterol medication.

If you have one of the bottles, take it back to the pharmacy where you bought it.
