Raleigh Man Killed In Durham Wreck

DURHAM, N.C. — A Raleigh man was killed and a woman was slightly injured when two vehicles collided in Durham early Friday.
The wreck happened around 3 a.m. at the intersection of Miami Boulevard and T.W. Alexander Drive.
Police said a 1988 Toyota pickup truck driven by Michael Evans of Durham collided with the left side of a1991 Lincoln Town Car driven by Jared Alexander Myers, 22, of Raleigh.
The Lincoln was going north on T.W. Alexander Drive and the pickup truck was heading east on South Miami Boulevard. A preliminary investigation indicates that the Lincoln ran a flashing red light.
Myers was pronounced dead at the scene. Evans was not injured; a female passenger in his truck suffered minor injuries.
Police said no charges were filed, but the accident remains under investigation.
