Officials Find Two More Tainted Wells In Wake County

Posted Updated

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — Wake County officials have uncovered two more wells contaminated with cancer-causing agents.

Three wells were found in April near Barwell and Poole Roads in Raleigh.

Contractors recently dug up two gasoline tanks that may be causing the problems, but environmental officials say it could have come from materials sprayed on an old farm.

They said it may be weeks before they know for sure.
