Triangle-Based Pharmaceutical Company To Cut 70 Jobs

RALEIGH, N.C. — Dozens of employees at a pharmaceuticals plant in Research Triangle Park will soon be out of a job.

Diosynth

plans to lay off about 70 full-time employees. The company says the layoffs were necessary to sustain growth.

About a year ago, Diosynth announced plans to buy 90 acres of land from the Research Triangle Foundation to expand its operation.

At the time, the company planned to hire hundreds of new employees.
