GREENSBORO, N.C. — Cangialosi's Specialty Sausage is voluntarily recalling 180 pounds of frozen, fully cooked beef sausage distributed to restaurants in North Carolina and Virginia. The meat may contain listeria monocytogenes, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

Products recalled are 10-pound cases bearing the date April 29, 2003. The product is called "Cangialosi's sweet italian sausage, beef sausage sliced fully cooked."
