DURHAM, N.C. — An apartment in Durham became a crime scene Monday after workers who went in to renovate made a bloody discovery.
Contractors said they walked into the apartment at the Oakley Square complex, found a large amount of blood all over the floor and some of the walls, and immediately called police.
Police said they treated the scene just like a crime scene and took samples of the blood. They said the State Bureau of Investigation is testing the blood to see if it came from a human.
Police said they don't know when the blood tests will be finished.
